36 weeks

Reece is breeched and we have been trying to get him to turn with no avail. I have been doing a at home treatment called Moxibustion. It is a chinese acupuncture technique where you burn mugwort on your bladder 67 point (your little toe) gets babies moving and helps them flip.  I have been seeing a chiropractor who specializes in the Webster technique that also helps babies flip.  My ultrasound on tuesday showed he is still breeched. We met with a specialist from Penn, Dr. Debbs wednesday at Shore Memorial. He is a specialist in doing Versions where he manipulates the belly and manually turns the baby. His ultrasound concluded that Reece is Frank Breech his legs are at his face so he is like a V its the most common breech position.  Dr. Debbs tried to do a practice run to see if doing the version was even possible and he couldn't get Reece to budge, he is already engaged in my pelvis butt first.  The result is a scheduled C section.  I really didn't want it to have to come down to having a C, I really wanted a pain med free birth.  Most importantly I just want a healthy baby however he has to get here. We will set a date with the Dr. on tuesday, he has already mentioned May 3rd, Mark and I really like May 5th Cinco de Mayo, but will discuss with the Dr. if there is any harm in waiting another 2 days, ultimately Reece is our biggest concern.   Breeched babies can have hip problems from being in that position for so long, it is worse in girls then boys. He will be checked regularly to make sure his hips are ok. An Obgyn nurse told Mark that it has been shown breeched babies tend to have more speed and are fast in athletics.  Reece is measuring tall (no surprise) and weighed 6lbs 13oz on wednesday, he may end up being 71/2 lbs (my guess)

Besides all of that, he is moving, wiggling and kicking me all the time, he is ready to be an outside baby : )
